Hey everyone

So i don't even own a digi cam anymore, and im in the market for a new one.
Im looking for something that will take nice crisp pictures. Im not a photographer by any means. Im just looking to take pictures from vacations, evening out with friends and all that good stuff.

I also want it to take some real nice video. Something that can take videos while in the club. I want it to capture all the sounds of the club. No bass distortion that we see in many videos.

As for money, i don't even know what to set a price at. Lets go up to $350 ish.
Cause i have no idea what cameras cost these days. If my price is to low let me know.

If you're only going to shoot vacation pictures n such, a compact ("point-and-shoot") camera should be more than enough. There are loads of them out there, in every price range imaginable, so as Photojojo said, pick your budget, waltz over to the local camera store and try a couple of different ones out.

As far as sound goes, I seriously doubt that there's a camera with a built-in mic of the quality you're asking for. As far as I know, most "club videos" are shot using an external mic. I know there's a few made for DSLR cameras, but if your compact camera has a hot-shoe (I believe some of them have), there is nothing stopping you from using one of those.

My best advise is to pick your budget and go somewhere and play with all the cameras lined up. Go through the menus and just get a good feel for them all. Pick the one your most comfortable with. You're not going to get the quality sound it seems your after from just about any camera.
