Koalas, kangaroos, yeahbuddy!

I've learned that this is the real way to say the most famous quote:

G'day mate, let's chuck another prawn on the barbie.

Anyway...2.5 weeks in the beginning of December.

I'm believeing Sydney, Melbourne, Great Barrier Reef, Northern Territory.

Trying to lock down a couple gigs too.

What else should I do? TALK TO ME CLOWNS!

You will get the hang of it quickly.

if you have any questions or want any recomendations happy to help.

The Q1 viewing platform is great, full 360 degree view of the coast.

here is the link, and a good travel guide

Speaking of Australia, there is a very strong possibility I'm moving over there during mid 2012, but I won't say much over here to avoid stealing Chilly's thread . (consider this a teaser )

If you are in Brisbane, it is only an hour to the Gold Coast. the evening life is meh, full of douchebags. But the beaches are a must. One big coast line of gold sand

I would say pity you're not coming down to Adelaide, but there isn't really much happening here. :P

Look up Adriano Zumbo while your in sydney, his bakery is the best I've ever been to. Also if you feel like checking out some tech while your here. StoreDJ are in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, and they are a pretty helpful bunch.

I know you don't have much time in cairns, but the trip up to cape tribulation is fantastic. The diving's better up there too, fewer people and they don't make you wear those stupid jellyfish suits.

Also there's a day trip you can do from cairns where you basically drive around in a minibus and go swimming in various different rivers and waterfalls, like this:

here's a link: http://www.unclebrian.com.au/rainforest_tour.htm

It looks a bit lame from the website but it's a great day out.

EDIT: also, in sydney, Manly is a pretty cool area beach wise, I much prefer it to Bondi. The manly ferry from circular quay is a really nice trip too, don't bother with busses. There are hundreds of beaches anyway so just take your pick.

And if you see a branch of 'Oporto', they do the most awesome chicken burgers with chilli sauce.

+1 for airlie beach as a party spot.

All this is making me want to go back

I'm actually considering coming over for about 3 weeks in January - She Who Must Be Obeyed's best mate married an Aussie, popped out our Godson, and now lives in Adelaide.

Been pondering gigs and trying to get a line in on the Regrooved guys over in Aus, now I've played a couple in the UK.

If you're going to the reef, stop by Airlie Beach. Great party location, see if you can pick up a gig there. Lots of backpackers!

Sydney is fantastic! Got to spend a week there a few years ago.
Bondi beach area is a good place to go. Of course the harbor bridge, the opera house, the wharf area, etc for the usual tourist stuff.

Sounds like alot of fun! I'm jealous. Wish I could go back and see Melbourne and the reef ect.

Spend a lot of time along the north shore beaches in Sydney. I used to live there, Dee Why, pretty amazing area.
