Lin Danek 11.11.2011 | That's a great thought Mike. Hugs all round - vet or current. I was conscripted in the dark days of Apartheid, and served my country with pride, despite not agreeing with the policies of the government. I saw colleagues die. The ANC has just unveiled a wall of rememberance to that dark era, but chose to exclude us, on the basis that we upheld the Apartheid government. My colleagues died in vain, and only their loved ones will remember. It's so sad, and makes a mockery of what 11/11 is truly about. Hugs again gentlemen. |

Glennis Cartin 11.11.2011 | I literally was sworn into the military today, quite a day to do it with all the the vets there. And yes, they bloody well deserve a hug! |
Lora Vandewark 11.11.2011 | I'm still serving, can I have a hug anyway? |
