Reply to Can the forum setting be changed so posts/threads can be edited indefinitely?

I'm mainly believeing for stuff like the show your setup community where it would be useful to be able to edit the original post at any time, since currently it seems like you can't make any edits to a post after it is a week or so old and it would be nice to have the original post up to date in case people don't want to scroll through an entire thread.
