What kind of equipment does one need to stream their radio station online? Posted on: 25.01.2012 by Nakisha Startup Hey guys,For all those who know anything about radio / streaming: I am wondering what kind of gear /software you need to take a signal from a radio station and to stream it online. This is for my school radio station that I work at. Links to these products would be very helpful. Our budget is around $1400-2000 for something like this. | Spencer Kilcoyne 26.01.2012 | Hi, I play on a station called Purple Radio (check the sig for a link) We use a company called StreanmSolutions - essentially for a monthly fee, they allow our djs to stream music from a laptop running winamp with the shoutcast plugin to their server, which people then tune into via winamp or itunes or internet enable radio or whatever Different QoS, bitrates, and number of listenres supported costs different amounts so take a looksee and see what you can find |
