Ok, im buying a pair of pioneer speakers this week, (the ones with the white pads) but the black wood on the speakers has got quite abit of wear and tear and i want to basically refurb the wood so it looks new, has anyone got any tips?

Each to there own I suppose doesn't sound like a gd idea to me shoe polish is oil based never tried it but would of thought it would react with the clear coat but as said never tried it

not a bad idea that! cheers mate, ill check it out, i suppose i could paint them a different colour to black, i do like the black wood tho because of the white pads lol

Yeah boot polish sounds like a bad idea mate..

Get some of this and go funky colour(s)

The etching primer was from halfords and the spray I used was a Montana gold but only because I had it lying around

I painted my speakers which are laminate I gave a light rub with wet and dry then some etching primer to give me a key for final spray

Yeah that's laminate - you can buy paint specially for laminates, doubt you'll get black though..

What's the finish is it a laminate or primed and painted wood
