Focus Dance Competition Wobs, Nonfiction & Josh Billings Posted on: 09.08.2012 by Cristie Wong Focus Dance Competition Wobs, Nonfiction & Josh Billings Tuesday August 14th $10 Before 10:30 / $15 After w/ RSVP $15 all evening w/o RSVP To RSVP email your name to [email protected] Located @ 4253 Martingale Way Newport Beach Ca We have some INCREDIBLE dancers that call Focus their home and it was our idea some 8 years ago to take one evening a year to focus on them. Well this is their evening . There are 3 categories (Breaking, Popping & Freestyle). If you are interested in competing we'd love to have you. To sign up email [email protected] ASAP (spots fill up VERY fast) A huge thanks to our sponsors for providing some incredible gear to giveaway to those competing: Hex, h2o Audio, Faded Royalty, MEElectronics, Bboy Federation, Generation Bboy, Swift Easy B-Boy Apparel & Cypher Styles. The way this competition works is we will have all the dancers do a quick exhibition round and our judges will narrow it down to 8 in each category. After the final 8 have been chosen we will randomly pair you against another dancer and it will be a battle bracket from then on out. 8 to 4 then 4 to your final 2 in each category and then of course your winners in each category. Dancers MUST arrive by 10pm to check in or their slot will be given up to someone on stand-by. Hosted by Mikey (Jazzwell) Judges include: Rion (2011 Breaking winner), Toy Box (2011 Freestyle winner) & Butter (2011 Finalist) + You! (Crowd response will decide tie breakers) The Focus DJs will be taking care of the musical selections from start to finish. We worked with all of our sponsors this year and we are making sure all of the dancers get hooked up this year + don't forget about the $500 in cash to the finalists! This year is shaping up to be the best Dance Competition yet, we're excited for you all to be a part of it.
