Just got booked for a Sunrise set!! Posted on: 03.07.2013 by Nana Mohs I just got booked to do the sunrise set of an event coming up here in Santa Fe, NM. I'm hugely excited, and, frankly, honored as can be. Us New Mexicans cherish our sunrise sets, so I'm slightly more than a little nervous about this particular gig.Anyone here have any sunrise tips? Any tunes that I have to play in the morning? I play deep/tech house, minimal and a spattering of techno. Sometimes some breaks tracks, but usually not. Any chill tunes that you guys like to bust out when the sun starts to come up? These two tracks are both definite possibilities https://soundcloud.com/mesarecordings/brian-mayhall-wind-chill -muffintop- ps... If you are in the Northern New Mexico/ Southern Colorado area PM me for details ! | |

Rolanda Clodfelder 05.07.2013 | I just cant help it .... bliss Actually brought a tear to my eye remembering it being played at a beach party as the sun just peeked its head up over the water right at the break |
Ming Devis 05.07.2013 | This as the suns coming up BLISS |
Hank Guidas 05.07.2013 | You could easily play this one too imo https://soundcloud.com/peech/ashford-simpson-it-seems-to-hang-on-peech-edit |
Jorge Furber 04.07.2013 | Sunrise is usually when everyone wants to cool down and start relaxing, I would go with some melodic deep house tracks, bring people to a cloud of happiness! That's what I would do and might do in a few weeks, trying to score that time slot at an upcoming party! |
Nana Mohs 04.07.2013 | This thread rules. Thanks guys! |
Hipolito Scionti 04.07.2013 | Would probably still drop this |
Margaretta Hebenstreit 04.07.2013 | fitting tune as well: btw: some really nice tracks in here, keep em coming |
Hipolito Scionti 04.07.2013 | Oldie but a goodie Vibes! |
Margaretta Hebenstreit 04.07.2013 |
both quite fitting for that occasion |
Joana Rabot 05.07.2013 | I believe this would fit perfectly in to your sunrise set. Plus it has a free download ! https://soundcloud.com/red-bull-studio-ct/dillon-thirteen-thirtyfive |
Nana Mohs 04.07.2013 | Probably won't be playing any bass music, but thanks for the suggestion. I'm going to try to stick around the 115 bpm range, and maybe creep up to 120. Matrick, that edit is great! Thanks. Kooper, checking out some Balearic charts on BP... Perfect |
Bethann Olortegui 04.07.2013 | I've made an edit of that Noze track -> https://soundcloud.com/stone_collins/daypak-padberg-island-noze-remix-matricks-dont-stop-edit Late Nite Tuff Guy or Nicolas Jaar should suit that time of day too |
Kristofer Krauel 04.07.2013 | Never been to a sunrise set but the sunset sets I've been to have tended to be slow house music with a Baleiric feel. Awesome atmospher!! I'd feel honoured too mate. Good on ya! |
Tera Baragan 03.07.2013 | For me a sunrise set would be like chilled out bass music. a lot slower then house, around 100bpm or slower.. but thats just me and my scene over here. |
