Since I heard this track for the first time, I fell in love with it. The bass, the guitar, the shakers and the vocals... It all blends so nice together.
There was one thing I did not like about the original, with 4:04 it isn't long enough. I finally decided to make an edit of the original. Based on the stems that Gotye released a while ago.
My goal was to stay as close to the original as possible, so I did not add any sounds, I did leave out a few. The result is a more then 11 minute long version that will not bore you ;-)

@ Addictive: Your version rocks, enjoyed it much more than Wyte's version.
I'm being a smartass by questioning his claim that it is his edit in the video? That could be anyone's edit. He didn't do anything distinctive to make it stand out and say "oh yeah, that's dudes edit". Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if Kristian himself did an edit as well just to play out.

But who's to say he didn't already have a similar edit himself though? There really isn't anything distinctive to say it's "yours".

That the people from the club, told me. And that I sent my version to Kristian from Ame.

No, quite the contrary I was actually more concerned with your bullshit holier-than-thou attitude. But when you started making blanket statements about taxes and music and claiming them to be fact, I wanted to make sure to correct you as well.

Like I said, I have nothing else to say on the subject, though I'm sure your ego won't possibly allow me to get the last word in. However, you'll be wasting your time responding, because I wont bother reading your ignorant posts any longer.

So I agree 100% with your intention, your problem though is when you're honest and blunt you don't offer anything constructive. If you would just offer some type of suggestion in your honest and blunt posts then that would be great. Instead you come off as your typical asshole internet 12 year old acting like they know all there is to know about a subject.

So be as honest and blunt as you want, but offer something constructive or you'll start getting infractions.

I am going to go ahead and just copy & paste this from my last post, because again you seem to be missing the point.

If they dont improve, how will they EVER meet your incredibly high standards?

For what it is worth, you are a talented DJ, but based on your attitude and arrogance, I probably wouldn't listen to your work if it was the last piece of audio material on f*cking earth, I'd rather be deaf.

Also, to the original poster, Addictive, I am sorry for de-railing your thread, but I was frustrated with seeing Nephew post like this so many times in my short time on these community s.

I believe your edit of this track is fantastic, and it is not my preferred genre, keep up the good work my friend.

Go to the first page of this thread, CMD+F, enter the word "tax" and you tell me who has the first post mentioning taxes.

You are detracting from the point, which is that you're negativity towards other peoples work is neither necessary, nor appreciated by anyone.

However, for what its worth, Hitler was a known tax evader before he took office, when naturally all of his tax debts were forgiven. It is estimated that in todays dollars, he would have owed German authorities nearly $8,000,000 USD.

Well for starters, because NOT everyone pays taxes, it isn't a FACT that everyone pays taxes, nor is it a FACT that Whyte's version of the track is better. What I'm really getting at here is that you putting down other peoples works is not only annoying its downright disrespectful, you must have some serious self esteem issues to get off by putting down others who have worked hard during the creative process to make what they do, whether you like the material they produce or not.
