Suzanna Paddock 08.02.2010 | Thanks guys, I used soundbooth cs4 (what i had available). It's pretty good actually. did a few minor corrections to the mix & a hard limiter as final touch. Did get some clipping. I just wish the little record light in traktor (next to the clock) would be green when recording & red when clipping, cause I can't keep the record tab open all the time. cheers, |
Laurel Litchko 08.02.2010 | i just monitor my levels closely, am i not doing enough? lol |
Laraine Arceo 08.02.2010 | Why would you run a full mix through a warmer? |
Latoria Kavulich 06.02.2010 | As long as you're levels are ok in traktor itself, clipping shouldn't be too much of a worry. Doesn't hurt running a check with SF or Audition tho. And yeah as mentioned above normalising is a good idea. You can also get fancy and put it through some vst's like vintage warmer and izotope vinyl. less is more imo |
Cristian Carmona 06.02.2010 | i use sound forge 7 (old school version) and run it thru wavehammer |
Al Henger 05.02.2010 | as far as normalizing goes, audacity does a pretty good job of it. It cant really help a redlined mixer, but, you can adjust levels of the tracks with the envelope tool pretty easily, and normalize will bring the overall volume to the right level. |
