i've been believeing over this track ever since the first comment about the bass, and i believe i may know what the deal is. i haven't touched the project since but i'm going to open it up soon and see what my EQing on the sub was like. i feel like the problem lies in not enough emphasis on the lower mid range (~150-~250hz), gonna try boosting this and see what happens.

thanks for the love guys, and more importantly the criticism

And it sounds great if I got the speakers going, but quite literally I can't hear the bass if I have it low.
yeah that makes sense now. though unfortunately that's the sound i was going for :P real subby, no frills bassweight

I say needs more bass generically, in that there is some really deep bass I could hear, but not well without the music cranked. Some mid/high bass freq. aren't being hit that generally sit better with me listening to music without it being cranked to where I can feel it.

Hope that makes sense, I really liked the tune.
yeah, my bass levels and i have a love hate relationship. i've been warned so many times about putting too much bass in the mix, guess i took it a bit too far perhaps? but i'm working out a new mix of it atm so i'll post it up and see what you guys believe.

glad you're diggin it brother

yeah i'm a big fan of those kind of chord progressions. it's like an eerie cool.

I'm liking it thus far.

I really like the vocals. And I like your snare, has the perfect amount of sustain.

I'm not sure how I feel about the overall "detuneness". Idk how to really describe it. Kinda feels like Deep houseish. dunno

the only reason i say that is because, of the systems i've tested it on, the bass has been kickin pretty hard.

what are you guys listening with?
