Released in 1997 and discontinued in 2005, Propellerhead ReBirth was the first music software to reproduce the sound and behavior of those three classic Roland devices that defined the sound of early Techno and Acid House: the TB-303 Bassline Synth and the TR-808 and TR-909 Rhythm Composers.

and now this awesome program is avaliable as an iphone app

thats where zoom an pan comes in handy with the iphone, it does seem to get a little fuzzy when you have to zoom in ALLLL the way so you can get direct access to the button your after, but the possibilities there are now open to ppl with nothing more then a phone is amazing, plus i herd that they have to create another program for the ipad as it wont work (scaling issues or somthing or the sort)

Way to many little buttons and dials for the iPhone IMO. You could buy an iPad though, use it for nothing but this, and still save several thousands of dollars.
