NI just announced that Maschine will support VST/AU plugin Hosting.

"The next big step for Maschine will be... VST/AU plugin hosting! You can expect this in the free V1.6 update early 2011."

This was an official post on the Maschine FB page a few hours ago.

Anyone who couldn't decide whether to get Maschine vs. another 'similar' product should consider this very powerful feature when weighing their options.

I sort of agree with Kore as being a waste. It's a great way to demo a lot of different sounds but when it comes down to recording anything I get lost. The software doesn't have the quick workflow of Maschine.

Back to Maschine if they're doing VST hosting then surely time stretching has gotta be coming. That's a bigger feature request then vst hosting. If they can get that down into a nice simple way that works well with the Maschine controller I'll be in heaven. Now that the S4 is out too this is probably more wanted then ever.

I still believeing Kore is an amazing little tool, but only as a plugin

they should get battery kit import sorted first. if you're planning a serious live set, you'll end up using maschine as a plugin anyway for downmixing alone... kinda defeats the purpose of incorporating VST host features.
