The Mixes and Productions end of the community is pretty much deserted with people who leave constructive critics, so i'm posting this in here in hopes of getting some feedback so I can improve!

Thanks mate... Glad you like my stuff.

Yes, by reading mastering books you can learn about concepts etc... I was making the point that your song needed work in the mixdown. The difference between the mixdown and the master is: you want to adjust each track in the song during your mixdown, don't apply any thing to the overall master channel at all. Level out each track, apply necessary EQ and compression etc to the specific tracks that may need it. Your master is obviously when the whole track which has been mixed down is now given the treatments necessary to make it sound best. This is done to a single wav file, and should be done by a professional.

And that explanation wasn't to say you don't know the difference, (I don't know you or how versed you are) but it's for anyone who may be reading this thread....

Thanks for the critique - I'm now heavily studying the art of mastering so I can learn some EQing and Multiband Compression to give my tracks more depth.

can't critique the track itself as it is not really my cup of tea as far as production (but I like it as I like the vocals, Florence And The Machine are cool), but I can tell you that your levels are a bit off. May want to revisit the mixdown a bit more. It seems a bit thin.

Very nice. I can't offer much in the way of a critique as I don't produce, but I'm downloading this and will play it on my show.
