Breana Singerman 28.12.2010 | The track sounds very vanilla and "by the numbers". Sonically it sounds good, could probably change a few things here and there in the mix down and arrangement, but it has nothing to separate it from the other 100 techno tunes in this style. Sounds like a very "safe" production as well. Nothing unique or original. Try and take a risk and don't just follow what seems to be "popular". |
Janina Droze 28.12.2010 | Some thoughts, YMMV and I'm not 'learned' on the genre, but : 1 : i don't believe i like the shaker's place in time, the sound is ok, but it the way it sits in the beat kind of grates on me. 2 : the tempo increase from 1:30-2:ish seems out of place 3: the white noise swish at 2:05ish needs to trail longer I believe, and sit in the mix better 4: I do like the synthie blips from 2-3 5: 3:00 break...i don't like the white noise swish. 6: i like the effecting of the lead around 4:00 7: I wish the bass line changed 8: it kind of falls apart for me around 4:45 into the last break. My $.02, worth perhaps half of that. FWIW, I know fuckall about minimal techno, the above is just my opinion based on what I personally like. --t |
