Monitor placement and mounting

Hi guys

So I recently purchased a pair of KRK Rokit 8's at GC during their President's Day Sale. They are amazing and sound beautiful.

Now, the issue I'm running into is that the room I'm in, well, plain and simply blows. It's a terrible setup and I recognize I'm not going to be able to completely overcome that right now.

But what I can do is try and optimize the space. I am not really capable of fitting monitor stands in the room but I am able to mount them on the wall. Can anyone point me at good wall mounts for the Rokit 8's? I'm going to need to place them at a rather steep downward angle to get them pointed properly at my head, but I figure that's not going to be too much of a problem.

Thanks
J

Yeah, bass traps would probably be a better idea. I'm trying to figure out the best way to reorganize the room so I can fit everything I need to (damn apartments).

You should try to place your monitors at least a foot or so away from the wall. It's the lower frequencies that will really kill you in a small room like that. I would take that money that you would have spent on wall mounts, and put it into making bass traps.

Just a heads up I would SERIOUSLY reconsider wall mounts.
Placing monitors close a wall leads to a very large peak in the lows and creates a very muddy low end, this would then be made worse due to your room being completely untreated!

Could you post a picture of your set-up and I could give my unprofessional advice on placements?
