Do you have any video tutorials on youtube you can refer?

FXPansion GURU has always been the best MPC emulation IMO, I've used it for years and it is very intuitive.

It looks like they've replaced it with GEIST...

which is probably very similar.

There's a few tutorials on Youtube. Search for "impulse". I believe that's the best way to do 'em live.

if you just want a drum machine styled software to play and you're not interested in recording audio tracks then look into MOTU's BPM or FXpansion's Geist.

they are nowhere near as powerful as ableton but much faster to learn and they operate as plugins so you can move them into ableton later and not lose your beats.

production technique & info can be a lot to take in all at once, its probably best learned in phases.

BPM and Geist can both loop while playing and recording, BPM has a dongle though so watch out if you dont want one of those.

and start by searching 'ableton beginner' or something to make sure you don't dive right in at the deep end with advanced compression use or something.

just search Ableton on youtube. Once you find someone doing a tutorial that you can understand watch the rest of their tutorials.

Closest you can get to the MPC workflow (sample chopping, etc) is Maschine, but that would defeat the purpose of a MF clone.

If you only want to use it to play samples live, get a Lite version of Ableton or use any Drum Sampler standalone player (or plugin hosted in a DAW).
