Ableton exports huge file sizes
Ableton exports huge file sizes Posted on: 27.07.2011 by Emilee Woytovich Is there a way to export smaller files from Ableton? All I am able to do is render these massive 50mb wav files with no option for exporting smaller files (for example mp3).I keep having to use Garage Band to re-export the files with a smaller file size for uploading to Soundcloud. Emilee Woytovich 28.07.2011 | Using iTunes seems a lot easier! cheers for the advice |
Nedra Fresneda 28.07.2011 | Directly from Ableton? No, only WAV or AIFF files. If you are using the iTunes method, make sure you set yout CD ripping to MP3 320, since it shares this setting. PS: You should always keep a WAV version of your tracks in case the project goes corrupt or one of your vsts becomes incompatible in the future. |
Marketta Mellan 28.07.2011 | I use Itunes to convert my Wav's from Ableton into mp3's. Drag the Wav file into Itunes, right click on it and click "Create mp3 Version". Once it's finished, right click on the new track (it will have created a new version of the song, so now you will have two of the same title in itunes) and hit "Show in Windows Explorer". If you're using a mac, it's the same thing but the last step will be something along the lines of "Show in Finder". Hope this helps! |
