I want to copy a pattern from one file to another. Is there a way?

I believe you can just open the pattern, select all and then cut

then without closing fl, open a new file, open desired piano roll and select paste

it should work...I use FL9 but I'm pretty sure that's I how I used to do it in other versions

Since I do not have any experience with FL Studio whatsoever the advice might be complete trash, but still try:
either opening both files and simply dragging and dropping said pattern from one to another.
exporting said pattern as a .mid (midi) file and importing it into the other file.
