I really dig this technique, I am not sure If I am accurately describing it but you can hear it in this track.

While taking a loop or audio clip and slowly increasing the pitch is easy in sequencer programs I cant figure out how to gradually increase the actual tempo from super slow to super fast and while slowly turning up the bpm in dj programs like tracktor is easy, I want to go way out of the spectrum that they allow. Any ideas or help would be much appreciated.

this will crop the loop rather than change the speed.

it sounds like he is shifting both the start and end point of the sample which you can do in simpler pretty easily.
i believe this is what a bouncer does in very fine steps. you remember the article by dj shiftee about "blooping"? its basicly the bouncer manually.

I agree, I believe this is what the auto-bouncer is doing from what examples I can find of it being used online. Although it seems like people are saying they cannot get this kind of control out of the bouncer and it would require a solution in which you can slowly automate the effect over a period of time

i really like the effects going on. thanks for posting. does anyone know a free bouncer plugin (for mac)? traktor bouncer won't do because automation is key here imo.

Yep, sounds like the bouncer effect. You can test in Traktor to see if that's it, but i would imagine you would have more control over it in a DAW.

bouncer effect plugin. the native instrument one will do (not free).

It really depends on what program you're using. I know this is quite possible and quite easy in fl studio but I wouldn't have a clue in ableton.
