I haven't used either extensively because I kinda just dove in and I've always had a DAW that came with a drum machine. My legit suggestion is Maschine, but |

Audrey Pinda 16.12.2011 | I really like some of the products from Camel. http://www.camelaudio.com Personally I like the crusher they have a lot, it's something I've grown used to using. I also like Rob Papen's line of VST's. Ever since seeing the production videos with Rusko and Benga using Albino 3, it made me want to learn that particular VST. His others are good for what they are. I really liked the ITCHY synths when I had my PC. As far as I know they aren't Mac compatible. Same goes for GLITCH (not sure who makes it). I also like this "Sumo" VST. Makes things just sound fat. http://freemusicsoftware.org/875 But yeah. Just my 2 cents. |

Jerome Burruss 16.12.2011 | If I were to purchase battery, or another NI VST, does it come with a disc that has all those gigabytes of sound on it? |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 16.12.2011 | sylenth is a great plugin, very easy to operate and a very fat sound if you know how to use it, I used to use massive, until I figured out how sylenth works, the only downside is there is less automation than massive, but that can be good as you could get easily confused using massive's modifiers at the start. sylenth 139 pound massive $199 |

Neva Sparacino 15.12.2011 | Get reason and use KONG and redrum thse are the best drums rack I have use in my life |
Jerome Burruss 15.12.2011 | This is off topic, but are there any VST's for drums? For some reason I don't have impulse drums on my Mac. |
Louetta Ornelas 14.12.2011 | Reaktor just looks intimidating. I'd say start messing with Reaktor after you've learned at least one or two other synths though, because I believe it's mainly designed to have you create your own instruments rather than be limited by what comes with one set VST. If you want some good synths, aside from looking at previous posts in the community , you can always demo some of the top stuff like Sylenth, Zebra II, Z3ta, etc. They all use synthesis in different ways, but have lots of the same elemental functions. For example, I use Massive mainly for basslines/grit, then FM8 whenever I need a bit of sparkle. For free I like stuff like the TAL line, or Crystal - a modular synth. It all depends on how YOU want to sound. That's if you wanted recommendations, but anyone who has searched community s will tell you there is loads of info just a google search away. Happy hunting! Hope it helped. |
Neva Sparacino 13.12.2011 | Massive yea nice vst Im still fighting with reaktor any good tutorial in this community anyoneknow? About the maschine :c i Was wrong all this time jajaja thanks |
Dorie Scelzo 13.12.2011 | Maschine software isn't available without the hardware. It's also pointless. |
Emmitt Belback 13.12.2011 | check out massive vst as well. |
