Make a buildup then drop a big bassline?
Posted on: 29.12.2011 by Anamaria Cappola
Hey guys, I wan't to make a sloow buildup in a track, and then at the right time I wan't to make a big drop with just bass, and out from there should my next song come in. Do I need a sample for that? I've tried to find songs that have an explosion or anything simular, but I havn't had any luck.

Best regards Jack H.

You can build up your own 'explosion' pretty easily at any time with the DJTT JogFX mapping, tweak the grouped effect choice to see what sounds most appropriate for your track. Works well when people give you requests that don't fit in with the rest of your tracks all that well

It's all about song choice. I imagine there are several ways to do this, one being: Have the track playing that you want to mix out of on deck A, and the new track with the baseline on deck B. Have the track on deck B cue'd so that when you play it, it starts at the baseline. Once there's a build up on deck A, wait for the drop and just switch over.
