Reply to hd 25 and hdj side by side

I now have sennheiser HD 25 11's and my HDJ 2000. Last evening I did a side by side comparrison.. I dont know if its just that I have flogged my 2000's over the last three years but they didnt sound as clear as my sennheisers.

When I first opened the Sennis I was a taken back as I thought they looked a little cheap, I was expecting something I guess a little more sturdy in manufacture. Then I realised they didnt have a mono stereo function the same like the pio's. The initial dissapointment diminished once I had my first listen to them.

The hdj's are definantly built sturdier and generaly look as though they are constructed better, however due to the material the sennis are made from and the non complex design they are really really light.

I havnt yet had the opportunity to test them on a big system for features such as noise cancelation, but next time a play out I will use both and see.
