The more tracks you start to finish the easier it will be when you do have good ideas. Plus you'll be gaining valuable experience as far as being able to arrange and mixdown your tracks. And just because you finished a track doesn't mean you need to release to the world to hear, I have tons of projects I've finished that will never see the light of day. But I did finish them, and that's the key. |

In my free time I mess around with production, lost many projects due to viruses and system restoring, and I always find myself scratching old projects because I generally just don't like it or believe they sound shitty. I started this track a few days ago and I enjoyed making it so I decided to commit to it. Sure it took me 3 and 1/2 years to release a song, but I'd rather release something I enjoy listening to and am proud of instead of making hundreds of tracks that I may or may not enjoy. |
Tessie Grether 22.05.2012 | Whether dabbling or not... still took him 3 1/2 years. |
Georgina Schatzman 22.05.2012 | Yeah, a bit confused. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing that in the 3 and 1/2 years you've been working with Ableton you've only finished ONE song |

Tessie Grether 21.05.2012 | 3 1/2 years to finish a track... LOL :P |
Claudie Milow 21.05.2012 | well i've been DJing and staying in touch with production and what not for the past 3 1/2 years, and I have much experience using Ableton and VSTs, so this is my actual first production. Thank you though |
Tera Baragan 21.05.2012 | Im doubtful this is your first. But nice song regardless! Im not much of a trance person so I can't really offer much. |
