Thats like most people here. You made it seem like you just started producing, as its your first song.

So you have 3 and a half years of experience but you just haven't made a complete song.

So you have been producing for years?

The more tracks you start to finish the easier it will be when you do have good ideas. Plus you'll be gaining valuable experience as far as being able to arrange and mixdown your tracks.

And just because you finished a track doesn't mean you need to release to the world to hear, I have tons of projects I've finished that will never see the light of day. But I did finish them, and that's the key.

Well I work, go to school, and DJ on the weekends. In my free time I mess around with production, lost many projects due to viruses and system restoring, and I always find myself scratching old projects because I generally just don't like it or believe they sound shitty. I started this track a few days ago and I enjoyed making it so I decided to commit to it. Sure it took me 3 and 1/2 years to release a song, but I'd rather release something I enjoy listening to and am proud of instead of making hundreds of tracks that I may or may not enjoy.

Whether dabbling or not... still took him 3 1/2 years.

Yeah, a bit confused. I'm not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing that in the 3 and 1/2 years you've been working with Ableton you've only finished ONE song
