Reply to Apple Logic 9 Vs. Ableton Live 8

Hey Dj tech tools community !

Last year I convinced my buddy to start DJing with me. Being fourteen and unemployed we pooled our money and bought an S4 as well as a Midi-Fighter Pro and as well a few other toys. We have had a lot of fun mixing music and different samples together over the past year and stuff like that, but we decided its time we step it up, and look into production.

I must admit, writing this, I know very little about either of the two softwares, but i have had minimal use of both. Obviously Ableton is much more supported than logic i.e. Mad Zach's sound and it generally being more popular. Although, as I said, none of us are sitting on phat stax, and to come up with $550 is certainly pushing it. And Logic 9 seems like a good alternative for much less money, but i have not heard anything about it. Considering it is made by one of the most meticulous companies in the world, I'm sure it isn't too disappoint.

I am just looking for a detailed opinion that can can help my friend and I make the right decision, I am interested in what what you all have to believe.
