Akai MPK 49 and FL Studio
Akai MPK 49 and FL Studio Posted on: 27.12.2012 by Kristel Wattenberg Hey,Just got back from guitar center with an Akai MPK 49. I'm using FL Studio 10, but you probably figured out both of these things from the title. Just wondering if anybody knows of a mapping i could download to get all the mixer faders, knobs, pads, keys, everything on the keyboard to be functioning inside FL. I was looking around for that, or a tutorial on how to do it myself, but i had no luck. | |

Kristel Wattenberg 28.12.2012 | There is a similar function in fl for midi mapping, but i pretty much only know basic troubleshooting and how to add simple things to controllers. from reading around, it seems like this keyboard has some pretty tricky sections with all the layers and banks for each fader, knob, and especially the pads. id much rather find a mapping made by someone that really knows their stuff, that way i don't work really hard and end up messing it up. also, this thing is fantastic. the keys could feel a little more realistic, the pads are a bit stiff, but overall everything feels very legit and worth more than the cost to buy it. i highly recommend it. |
Jeannine Drobney 27.12.2012 | I know in ableton that there is a midi assign mode. You enable this, then pick which paramater you want controlled, then move the controller and presto. I would believe you could do the same thing in FL studio, find the midi assign mode. Otherwise on my Akai MPD 26 there is preset # 10 for FL studio. I believe the MPK 49 has this preset also. I have been eyballing the MPK 49 for a while now, it looks like you can do a lot with the pads, knobs, sliders, and keys. Sorry I have no mappings for FL. |
