4 Months experience, what do you think?
4 Months experience, what do you think? Posted on: 23.10.2013 by Coletta Lepianka Hey everyone,I've played the drums for about 10 years in bands as a 'kid'. But 5 months ago I discovered my true dream : "making electronic music". I didn't want to be anything, I just wanted to make music. So I bought my keyboard, downloaded ableton trial version, and just went with it, without even knowing what I do. The only thing I did know was that I just wanted to make music, that's all. So my FIRST QUESTION : "During this trial ableton version, I made a song in about 5 days, with 0% knowledge of the programm ableton, or any dj skills. I want to know what you guys believe of my potential, since I'm at a phase of my life that I have to chose, chasing a dream, doing my art, or 'something else'. --> https://soundcloud.com/pepijnvb/far-gone-dnb SECOND QUESTION : this is my latest release --> https://soundcloud.com/pepijnvb/pepijnvb-when-clouds-gather with 4 months of basic knowledge about making music, am I making progress? Am I worth it chasing my dream? Or is this not enough. I feel I could write here a whole life story, of like 30 pages, but then again this is a community so... But please ask, and I will answer! Music is my life, I believe the thing that differs me from other 'dj's' is that I have a lot of inspiration. Sometimes I just love to get a bassline in, play that bassline over and over, and just improvise, toggling on my keyboard making melodies, and suddenly it's 1 hour further! Music is my life, and will always be, but do I have the potential to press on and see what I can achieve (big) ? Or should this stay as a hobby throughout my other life experiences. Regards! | |
