Reply to top plates for vci100-se

i have an inquiry:
i know when they put on their custom se overlay, they must remove the two top plates with the original controller labels on them. i would have thought they would just put them in the box when they send you the vci...
however when i received my vci-se, the two top plates were nowhere to be found.
i e-mailed the tech tools team a while back, but no reply. (unless it my email put it in 'spam' and i somehow missed it)

so i'm curious did any of you other special edition owners receive the two top plates with your vci?

and if not, what are they doing with them all!? haha
