Seek function - directly or via shift - Suggestions

Hi,

I'm using an old silver VCI-100 and the one thing that makes me touch the computer all the time is the lack of SEEK (fast forward, rewind) within a track.

When I want to go into a later part of a track I use the mouse.

So, what I did now to solve that problem:

Solution 1: I used four buttons to programm seek forward and backward using autorepeat for each deck. Like that you can seek through a track as on CD-players.

Solution 2: I used two knobs to programm seek for two decks. So I can seek trough a track quickly by using those knobs.

I'm believeing about upgrading to a SE controller or buy overlays and firmware update. I believe it would be a GREAT gain if future DJranking s TSIs and Overlay would somehow include a Seek or Fastforward function.

Suggestion 1:
pause and play could well be one button, sync could be where now the "copy to c" and "copy to d" buttons are. Two free buttons per deck could be used for fast forward and rewind. I believe more people would like this function than use four decks. In combination with shift sync and drop alternatively could be fast forward and rewind.

Suggestion 2:
Use the jogwheel for fast forward and rewind (seek) when pressing shift at the same time.

Wasn't aware of that, thanks! I was also wondering why that functionality wasn't included...
