Reply to VCI-100 FW 1.1 with Traktor Pro?

Hey, so I have a regular silver VCI-100, I've just been using it with the Traktor 3LE that it came with for the last six months, however with getting my Midi Fighter recently, I'm finding now would be a good time to upgrade to Traktor Pro.

Question is, will my VCI-100 still work ok if I use it with Traktor pro and the 2.5 or 3.0 beta mapping? Or should I be doing a firmware update prior to that?
