Reply to ableton mapping

ive been around and researched a controller that i can map to ableton in terms of djing and havent found any useful topics that best describes how stable or if it even works with the program , so i decided to turn to this community for some answers , im looking to control my ableton live sets through a dj console and wanted to know from people who have experienced with the vci 100 if mapping with abelton is solid and if it makes life better in terms of faders and eq and specially how sensitive are knobs if mapped . thanks
