Just Arrived HELP!!!
Posted on: 19.02.2010 by Emilio Janz
My new (an hour ago) VCI-100 se is now connected to traktor pro. pressed a few buttons and the midi light in traktor flashes blue. So far so good. I go into control manager... can't find the VCI? So i need some help. here are the facts.
1. i'm running a macbook pro with snow leopard
2.Traktor pro has been running flawlessly for the last three months.
3. i updated traktor pro to the latest version (Well it says i have the latest software in the service centre but only shows 1.22 when i press 'about Traktor')
3.Nowhere in Traktor can i find any indication that the VCI is connected.Clicked on Generic keyboard in Control Manager expecting the VCI to appear in the drop down menu but nothing and yes, the VCI is lit up like a christmas tree!
How do i proceed from here, please?
4. I have restarted both the Mac and Traktor, no joy.

Good luck, Phil.
yeah, that's right.. sorry.. you want to use the add button only, if you already have other midi controllers mapped and don't want to loose those mappings..

if you want to import the DJTT tsi use the big import button

When you say desktop, do you mean the dock? Normally Traktor should be in your Application folder. If you open right click (control click) on the Traktor icon in the dock, you can choose "show in finder" from the Options. This will tell you where that version of Traktor is located on your HD.

Remember that after you update, you will need to put the link to the new version in the dock (and I remove the old one).

Cheers, Phil.

Two things, you will need the latest version of Traktor (1.2.4). Open service center, and in the last tab click the show details for traktor pro, it should link to the place you have Traktor on your HD. If not fix it and restart service center. If it does link to 1.2.4 you need to find it in the path indicated and put that in your dock (delete the 1.2.2 icon in the dock).

you have to import a mapping (e.g. the one from this site)..
go to controller mappings, click the small "add" button and then import.. import the tsi and set the vci as in- and output..
and you are good to go..
