Ridiculous "noob" question about FX and VCI-100SE. HOW?

Got round to setting this up. Really don't have an idea about how to implement the FX. I can see all the knobs turning on Pro as I do, but not sure how to turn them on. Watched videos, it's all very well teaching someone who knows the complete basics, but I'm a complete novice to midi-controllers/Traktor.

Thanks.

Also, when I hit the FX TYPE button it very quietly distorts the song playing. I've just created a fresh dual boot of Vista to run Pro on and this (Pro) is the only thing installed on it. Advise please? literally just happened when I was using the wheel to find the que point of a long intro.

Oh and another thing... When playing around with the echo with scratch on, this sometimes 'crashes' the controller and I'm unable to use it, without having to restart Traktor. Happened on several occasions and it has literally just happened while attempting to find a que point using the wheel of a track.

Thanks again.

u turn on the fx by pressing the button under the fxknob.
the left knob and button on the fx section is the dry/wet(the volume of the fx)

the glitch you here when you push several buttons is away when u use loopbe1 and bome's midi translator.

there are several posts where u can read about it.
try the 3.4 mapping post

I've got a gig on Fri evening , but at this rate (not the FX reasons) I'm taking my CD decks as back up... Nothing more embarrassing than a quiet spell. Not too bad with cdjs, but having to restart a program!
