Which Leds are you talking about. The leds are removed during the button install. Unless you plan to do some custom work. Then you should go for 3mm leds.

Yes you are still going to need the diodes. The buttons won't respond correctly with out them.

What if you just don't put them in? Will anything happen? And when, what will happen?

There needs to be some instructions of tutorial for soldering the diodes onto the ends of 4 extended ground wires. I believe I have a general idea of what to do but it has taken a while to find the right resources. The newer tutorial video doesn't explain this area, it's all "this is what I done earlier" style. The older video explains a bit more about the diodes though.

I believe you need the diodes. Ean soldered some LEDs between the buttons and the ground.

You could also use the default LEDs that are already on the circuit board.

Due to problems with the final results, people creating Arcade Editions and trying to sell them as ours, and other general quality issues, we have decided to discontinue the Arcade Kit and will not offer it any time in the future. All of the data you need to modify your controller is available on the website as we have left up all the materials, but we are no longer stocking the Arcade Kit.
