Reply to Lubricate the jogwheel?

Hey all, just got my used vci-100 se from another member on the board. I was trying out the right jogwheel and it feels really stuck, like it needs some lube. Would it harm the controller in any way if I used some general purpose lube to put on the rotating mechanism?
