MF3D CC#'s and MIDI channels, clarification of Abolute and Relative rotation Hello, While mapping some controls in Ableton I've discovered the tilt CC#'s range from 0-3 (left going clockwise). I began to modify some Lemur templates to match, and after the two wouldn't lock to each other, I realized the tilt CC's are actually being transmitted on MIDI ch 4, separete from the global MIDI channel setting. In regards to Absolute and Relative rotation, Absolute mode will send a CC# (unique to each button in each bank) and sweep the full 127-step range in a 180-degree motion, also on MIDI channel 4, separate from the global channel. In Relative rotation mode, the unit will transmit a CC on MIDI ch 4 with a 90-degree turn to the left, and that same CC will get transmitted on MIDI ch 5 when turned 90-degrees to the right! The full 127-step range is transmitted with each 90-degree turn. I was pretty blown away to discover the unit's transmitting on multiple MIDI channels simultaneously. I wasn't aware of this while researching it, and I believe it greatly increases its value as it doubles or even triples the amount of mappings someone can do. Do you believe it would be possible (in a future update of the editor) to allow users to change the MIDI channel of the tilt and rotation CC's, as well as the actual CC#'s themselves? If I had to pick one, I believe the MIDI channel numbers would be the biggest help, to steer it clear from existing gear married to a few of those channels. It's not a show-stopper at all, and I'm amazed the unit has so much more going on than I initially expected. If granting the ability to change the CC#'s of the buttons would be too much, being able to at least change the four tilt CC#'s would be my second wishlist item. Again, not a show-stopper by any stretch. If this is best posted in a "suggestions" thread, I'd be happy to post there. Thanks again! (edit) My apologies for mis-spelling "Absolute" in the subject.
