Its bad enough watching the brats in 90210 and those kinda shows. I still like watching Friends:eek: Byker Grove and Grange Hill never seemed so brilliant as it does today. In all honesty if cameras followed me and my friends clubbing and partying and all that it would probally be just as bad or worse. Except im not on the juice and I don't have a fake tan lol. |

Julietta Mistretta 26.08.2010 | Jersey Shore IS what is wrong with America - it's a snapshot of irresponsibility. Also, it's currently the greatest show on television. I actually feel dumber after every single episode. |

nayit ruiz jaramillo 25.08.2010 | All i know about Jersey Shore is the really terrible trailers for a program i saw a while back. It looked like everything that is wrong with not just America but mankind in general. I dunno, i dont know enough to comment. Is Pauly D in it..? |
Cristian Carmona 25.08.2010 | i was at the jersey shore...it sucks! |
Belen Wermes 25.08.2010 | sure thing jersey shore |

All his crappy trance tracks become hits, but when you actually go to his shows, that's only 10%, because the mainstream fans require it. the other 90% to me was more minimal and techy. I really loved it. Now thats all about Tiesto. DJ Mag 100 SUCKS. It doesn't mean a thing, even in Holland Ferry Corsten is hardly a DJ anymore, so I wonder who's voting for him. I believe the most respected Dutch producers/dj's have to be Noisia. Also, Junky XL made it pretty big, but most people only know him for "Little less conversation." My personal favorite: Richie Hawtin Least favorite: DJ Chuckie, everything sounds they same, and everyone loves it, WTF... |

Latoria Kavulich 25.08.2010 | Obviously a lot of dutch readers in that poll. It loses all credibility when tiesto gets in the top 1000 and astral fucking projection only get somewhere in the '90s lol. what a joke. |
Hanna Ridenbaugh 25.08.2010 | Having started playing records in dance halls in the early 1940s, Savile claims to be the first ever DJ; according to his autobiography, the first person to use two turntables and a microphone, which he did at the Grand Records Ball at the Guardbridge Hotel in 1947.[2] Savile is widely acknowledged as being one of the first in England and the world to use twin turntables for continuous play of music, thus pioneering the concept of DJing as we know it today! Yajaira Hibbitts 25.08.2010 | Why are there so many top dutch djs? the answer is simple, because there are a lot of people listening to what they play. |
Jacqulyn Shoemo 25.08.2010 | Guetta was house, now he's known for his pop offerings with the Black Eyed Peas and Akon. |
Jayne Yellowhair 26.08.2010 | Well, Gareth Emery is the bomb, I agree but only production wise. I wouldn't say David Guetta is trance ..? And yes, the voting system is strange and doesn't say 'best dj' but maybe most popular, yes. Still doesn't explain why there are so many popular dutch djs. Ferry Corsten is pretty well-known here in holland people but Im not sure about worldwide. I remember him from 'the race' but thats a REALLY bad song! I believe deadmau5 is less well known to many people here, he's more of a USA guy I believe |

Dotty Fadeley 24.08.2010 | So I believe its been covered as to why the top 100 is the way it is. However...like them or not, many of these "top DJs" have been in it since the humble beginnings of EDM and have worked their asses off to get to the top. Whether or not they can still hold their own in artistic creativity or "talent" is an other story. Many of them were responsible for the shaping and redefining of many current genres and subgenres with their productions and performances (i.e. Ferry Corsten, Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, etc). The Dutch definetely do seem to have something in their blood that makes them crank out the type of "Trance" that strikes a nerve with alot of people around the world. Also factor in the aspect of $$$. EDM is by no means an "underground phenomenon" anymore and "Trance" is a genre that fills venues with 10's of thousands of people...and pads the pockets of many. Its arguably the "top producer" in the way of sales and revenue so its pretty common to have the ones who not only fill stadiums but actually make the "hits" that sell. All that said may I add: "its best in Europe bro.....its best..." http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyKUiX5yM_U |

Freeda Johnsey 24.08.2010 | The DJ Mag list is a voting poll. Anybody in the world can vote online. The poll typically reflects what is popular around the world. Trance is still hugely popular at all of the large european festivals, hence the top 10 (minus deadmau5) is all trance. It is not based on skill. It's a popularity poll. Still find it humorous that deadmau5 made the list considering he's not a 'dj', even according to him. Once you realize how it's compiled, you too, should not get too worked up over the List. |
Margie Pavell 24.08.2010 | i just woke up...didnt have time to read the whole thing...sasha, digweed, lawler...wha?...im confused... |
Yevette Matatall 24.08.2010 | Ferruy coursten played not so long back in Bali in a small club, seriously i didnt go cause i didnt know who the fuck he was. Boy geoprge played the other wekk, missed that one too... is there any correlation here...shrug.. well consider the Jerome Isma-ae also played not so long ago also.. I made sure i was sitting to the side watching his set... then again Ian Brown just played the hard rock 2 last week, I only realized the day after when a mate was telling me... he reckons the show was great... but he is English so i dont know if any bias played role. |
Belen Wermes 24.08.2010 | .... Wtf |
Belen Wermes 24.08.2010 | this may be my imagination, but there seems to be an alarming amount of discussions on the community
lately about all the worst djs and all the worst dance music. eddie halliwell, tiesto, jersey shore soundtrack, justin bieberstep wtf guys... seriously. WTF |
Lamonica Rockholt 24.08.2010 | who is gareth eremy lol |
Breana Singerman 24.08.2010 | A lot of those top "DJs" are that high because of their production skills, not their DJing skills. And that's why the list is a big turd, period. They don't play any original tunes, they don't really dig deep and find that gem from years gone by that flew under the radar and still sounds fresh today. Most of the time people who go see those DJ's are expecting them to play all the songs they've produced over the years, and are usually disappointed when they don't. |
Julietta Mistretta 24.08.2010 | http://www.djmag.com/news/detail/2327 DJmag Top 100 DJs 2010 Cheating Investigation Cliffs: step 1: possible referral link abuse detailed in online video step 2: ??? step 3: profit edit: somewhat offtopic... also, if its all votes, who do you believe will get the most votes? the guy always on ustream / youtube / mega stars, that constantly gets airtime on xm / evening open set shows? or that guy that nearly no one in your city has heard of, except for the heads that dig his music |
Sherryl Nonato 24.08.2010 | its becuase the genre of music they play in very big in europe and throughout the world.. They mainly are trance/techno dj's |
Margit Koman 24.08.2010 | personally i wouldnt put those names anywhere near the top of the DJ list. i dunno how they came up with them lists. was it a vote? did they somehow put a value to DJs skill? did they just judge by the amount of records sold? totally worthless list imo. maybe the DJmag editors get free flights+stay in amsterdam...... |
