Free Mix Cover Art to anyone that asks!

I need the practice on photoshop so i'm offering free mix cover art to anyone that wants it all you need to do is:

1. Give me a theme that revolves
around either the mix or your name or
just a theme of your choice,
that i can use to build a cover.
2. A basic color scheme or choice of color's.
3. Any text you want added to the cover.

I hope i can help some people, and you in turn can help me further my photoshop skills

here is a couple i have done for my own mixes and a couple of others
















My drawing style is firmly rooted in graffiti. drew this pretty much from scratch

a few people have suggested i start taking payments for my work but i don't like that idea if you do want to donate anything for any design work i do you can send it on pay pal to [email protected]

Anyway you still got the files for this? Would you mind adding some white to the inside of the D, G n maybe lil on the R or P? So they match the E's more. Aside of that minor thing it looks great man, for sure made my day

Not sure how easy it would be to pull the whole img without loosing quality, I just did it on mspaint quickly, (As I'm not on a home cpu) so you can see the quality loss easly, photoshop prob would do a better job, but the spade we fly looks more pulled out from the sides, its not the same one as from a deck of cards, its a srh spade, like this:

& is there anyway you could also make the black background a transparent around the spade? It would let me easly add this to my posters.

And uhh.. Not to sound too greedy.. But I've been trying to get some other people to do a "Zone Phactor" logo for me, anyway you'd want to give that a go? I uploaded a quickie graff I did to show some crew graff artist buddys of mine.. But they're busy and.. really it doesn't have to be graff, whatever style you want to try would be dope, its our crews name we all fly under, from djs, promoters, producers & graffiti artists.

23.01.2011		Great work. I was about to look into some album art for a monthly podcast I do called "Expressionism". My DJ name is "Kromo". I have a logo in red and black and another one in blue and black. I was looking for a CD sized cover. It would be great if you can make something original using your graffiti background in either the red/black or blue/black color schemes. You can redraw the logo if you like or use it as is. Whatever works best for you. I play mostly House, Tech House, Techno, and Tribal. Much appreciated.

17.01.2011		Oh wow,this is some great stuff. My friend has been trying to do this for a while now, but he is 1: lazy, 2: doesn't have much time, and 3: is caught up making VG's all the time.

So the Theme would be my dj name, DJ Siatt

The color scheme is neon blue, and black

The txt can be any font type and the color of the txt is neon red (as long as it look tech-ish) and the txt is as follows," DJ Siatt, Creating the beat so you don't have to"

or the txt can say," DJ Siatt, Blastin the beat that's heard around the world"

or if you can't do those two, "DJ Siatt" but the background would be a symbol (one that looks interesting and that catches the eye, but not too over whelming)

I know this is all a lot to ask, but if you can (you don't have to), I would like an avatar, one that is 90 x 90 or 100 x 100. Color scheme is the same as above, and the symbol i mentioned, if you can go further, the symbol can be neon green.

This is a lot to ask of you, I know. You don't have to do mine right away. I am horrible at doing this stuff (drawing, sketching, designing) that you do.

i agree with everything said in this article altough i have never seen the bleeding heart font till Citizen insane sent me the link I'm calling my own ignorance on that one.
I nearly shit myself when i saw this.



hilarious like one of the god freaks got a pc with word and could not wait to use all the fonts, surprised the printer did not punch them in the face for that mess.

I'd say go with the second one IMO. First one seems like a little bit too much of a clash between old western and modern.

Dude that's some sick stuff right there! Really digging the Hannibal Lecter style mask on the 2nd one, kinda wondering if it could be made even better? Only thing is I kinda want like really clean text (first one too scribbly, second one too painted)... also maybe put Citizen on one side of the figure's head and Insane on the other? But yeah, siiiiiick work on the guy in the straight jacket man, really appreciate it.
