We don't know yet, have to wait for someone to get into the beta to find out :P

is there a community up yet? with beta testers?

Hopefully we get a beta tester here on DJTT

Is it "against the rules" for a beta tester to talk about the software?

really hope this isn't vaporware. they say a few days and then nothing... if it is not ready yet they should just say so.

Heh heh.

I almost feel guilty for unleashing that on this community , but…uhh……meh.

In all honestly, all I've used it for was to bury a "5char" in a post that only had an image on boards that don't count that as hitting the character count.

Or, better yet, you use OS X, right……use the color meter to actually make the text the same color as the default skin background so then we'll have to either quote all your posts in a reply to read them or highlight everything to make sure it's there. Like this should be.

(note…I've used this before to get text to show up exactly where I wanted it to, but I haven't insulted people in invisible text or anything)

And you can apply it to music that doesn't have a fixed tempo. It makes music that drifts into straight music.

It's not just time stretching at all. It's more like a beat grid.

Ah.. thank you. Sounds nice and simple...auto timestretch. For me, Reaper timestretch is pretty good.... Cubase timestretch... HORRIBLE!

Can someone give a very brief description of what the warp feature of Live does?
Timestretching basically e.g. drop a 140bpm sample into a 120bpm track it will change the sample speed without effecting the pitch allowing you to mix up pretty much anything in time and in whatever key you wish using transpose.

And I am also still hopefully wishing for a beta invite.

Can someone give a very brief description of what the warp feature of Live does? I tested out Live 8, hated it coming from Cubase and Reaper .. but I know it does have some cool features..

I know so many ppl that would love a decent daw on linux this looks like it could be it. I believe if linux ppl really start buying software like this more will get developed.

I would love to see the day that traktor runs on linux, it would be bye bye to my macbook pros. So we need to show ppl like NI that it is worth producing software for linux
