People around where i live dont like EDM aka "techno" as they call it because its just that "Techno". Completely biased but if opened correctly and after plenty of typical bar/party songs and of course drinks, they wont even notice that they are bobbing there head at the song i played on the jukebox 2 weeks ago that they skipped because it was just "too repetitive".

Just make sure that when you transition to "real" house, you just keep playing different remixes of Levels. That will make them go crazy.

i have a electro-house 80s mix, but a lot of these tracks are hard to come by, Good remixes of DM can be found on the box sets, Dirty South, Josh Patrick, Tocadisco, im trying remember is it was Dr Kuchoo, but he has dope remixes too. Its going to take some digging, Ive been collecting that the 80s remix since the Electroclash days.

This tune has been reworked countless times but Ben Liebrand gets it right for me. Yeke Yeke was an 80's tune originally too although this is the 90's hardfloor mix, a classic in itself.

Loads of Italo Disco that doesn't need remixing and Shep Pettibone stuff that is very 80's but ready to go.

Alkalino, Leftside Wobble, Tony Johns and lots of others all have good reworks of 80's and 70's stuff on Soundcloud.

yes. the problem is that there's a fine line between playing a nice blend of remixes and classics and playing a pathetic set of annoying remixes of classics.

don't be that guy.
