The Problem With Being A DJ and Being A Civilian
The Problem With Being A DJ and Being A Civilian Posted on: 18.08.2012 by Jerica Salava So this beautiful girl wants me to take her out "dancing".She says "Your A DJ. Take Me to a good House evening at a club." (trust me. I tried to use "well I'm a bedroom DJ already.) I start searching and my head is spinning. What venue, DJ, ambience, etc. ughhhh. Then I find this cool little venue. Not too big. Not too small. Nice vibes. But their DJ list is off the wall. The venue is called Electric Pickle and next weekend they have Konrad Black. I search Konrad Black and find these three videos. What the hell is he going to play next weekend ??? Minimal Tech, Deep House, Disco, ..... WTF ? > > | |

, and that you can both go and check it out TOGETHER! That way you take the pressure off, and you can both talk freely on whether you liked/disliked it. |
Rey Holubar 19.08.2012 | Hehe....you might just be surprised, if you do. scamo |

How does she know you are a DJ and expects you to know the house scene at Miami, if you are still only a "bedroom DJ" and actually don't know the scene at all? Could it be you were less humble/ truthful than you should have been to her about your experience as a DJ? I'd say, you created the situation you are in....yourself..... and you should find your way out.......yourself. My words of advice though are.... Tell her the truth. Tell her that you are actually a DJ noob (maybe not use that exact word), before you go on that date. Tell her it is actually a new experience for you too and thank her for suggesting doing it and it will be a very interesting evening . Cause, if you keep up the charade, either she will stay totally blonde and you will be in luck or she will notice you are not really who she expects. Not good! scamo |

Julissa Serrone 18.08.2012 | Dude this is Miami....there are tons of tight spots that play house music!! What vibe are you looking for. Electric Pickle wouldn't be my first choice for a date evening , unless i was into a techy/underground type of vibe and most girls that want to party to "house" music in this city are into Avicci first. Let me know what vibe you're looking for. |
Lela Umanskaya 18.08.2012 | Maybe you suck, and every one else is good. Lolol But for real, if these people are out dancing, DJing and generally enjoying 'the scene', while you are so far removed that you can't even come up with a good date idea... Maybe it's time to take a step back and ask why? |

Babara Devecchio 18.08.2012 | Why does this girls comment seem a little off to me? Wouldn't it seem more right if she wanted to know more about why you DJ rather than the places you can take her because you're a DJ? |

Nancey Inderlied 18.08.2012 | How can you be known as a DJ but not be at least familiar with the local club runners and event promoters? That's like inherent information. |

Celestine Porebski 18.08.2012 | Hmm, you're interested in DJing, but don't know where to go to party? Strange thought - how can you relate to the punter's perspective if you don't go out dancing yourself? In any case, Konrad Black sounds like a decent option, just go for it |
Lilliana Perris 18.08.2012 | I pity you bro.... Dancing....shiiit....only when I am shit faced! um....go somewhere outta town....do it...and go home to close the deal. |
Yong Aptekar 18.08.2012 | ^ this, and some shots, and the club won't matter. |
