Traktor Pro 2.6 - TTM56 - Audio8 - Send/Return FX
Posted on: 08.11.2012 by Albertina Fay
I currently have my TTM56 paired up with an Audio8 for DVS.

The third channel on the Audio8 is being used for Send/Return FX to the TTM56's FlexFX. (Sort of the way Traktor Bible explains here)

I would like to know if there is a way to increase the gain on the Traktor's Send/Return return channel (Audio8's 3rd channel) through Traktor? When the Dry/Wet is at 50% on the mixer, the FX volume in this case (Delay FX), is just a little lower that what I want it to be when it is activated.

Any suggestions?

Should be the same thing.. You will need to sacrifice a Traktor deck.

If I have some time today, I'll try setting up like you and test my theory.

Second thought would be using something like a DI box (in-line preamps) to boost the signal. I've not found that the output signals were low, only the inputs.
Thanks, JSM. Unfortunately, the gain controls in the control panel or the A8 is only for the Phono Inputs.

Instead of putting one or several of you fx slot in send/external mode, leave them "normal", then you'll have to sacrifica one of traktor's deck, let's say deck C.

In traktor's sound input option, select the line input you want to use for your ttm's fx send/return on deck C, and do the same for the output section. Now assign the fx slots you want to use to deck C, and don't forget to set the dry/wet on the fx to 100%, because you will be controlling it with your mixer.

Lastly, click on the deck letter C, select external input as deck mode. Tada ! you now have gain and eq available for your send return. You just had to sacrifice a deck to have it

Hope that helps!
Thanks, oneapemob!!! This is a great idea and probably going to be my best bet.

When I use my TTM56, I really only 2 channels (I pretty much use the TTM when I want to practice some scratching and Hip-Hop mixing), so using the 3rd deck for Send/Return will be fine.

I would love if NI adds a gain control for the proper Send/Return config they have implemented in the software. Maybe in a future update.

I know it is post fader and cross fader.

Not sure if you are trying to help, or just trying to be a smart ass.

My gain levels are where they should be and I am sure that is not my problem.

If you are making a statement, it would be a good idea to end it with a period or an exclamation point, not a question mark.
