Pioneer is going to release a new controller ( Yes i called it a controller ) called XDJ-R1. if you read the pdf manual to Rekordbox (here: http://pioneerdj.com/support/files/DRI1001R.pdf , scroll down to page 3.) you get a hint of what is to come. There is virtualy no other info to go on but the Pioneer Rekordbox Pdf folder clearly states it's coming. So take Namnlös.jpgthe info for what it is. |

Cira Ditz 02.05.2013 | Wow - been waiting so long for this and been doing searches almost daily for weeks now. Never thought there'd be CD slots on there!! Very interesting - loved the AERO and the mixer especially, but those lack of hotcues were just the clincher for me in not getting one. *Very* excited if theres a Send/Return for the RMX too |
Alfredo Tooher 02.05.2013 | 2 features I would love and I am in 1. no file limit like the Aero, it has a 10,000 file limit, not good for mobile dj's 2. Same feature as aero where you can search a plugged in USB drive from your iPad connected wirelessly |
Ashanti Andreacchio 02.05.2013 | looks like someone(me) needs to start saveing money again But I could do fine without cd drives and if only that RMX1000 in the background is connected as send/return |
Alfredo Tooher 02.05.2013 | any details? no ethernet port = fail if that's truly a wireless only piece |

Nancey Inderlied 16.09.2012 | IIRC, it actually does have some kind of cue memory. |
Random X 16.09.2012 | I had the chance to play around with one on thursday. It wasn't actually not that bad. The jogs were better than the CDJ400 jogs, and the mixer part had a nice solid feel. All the features are quite well done if you ask me. I am more of a traditional DJ, so for me the need for Hot Cues is not that high. |
Cira Ditz 16.09.2012 | Me too D-Kem - was all set to buy one but when went into try one and became apparent there was no hotcues reluctantly decided to leave it (use them an awful lot during a evening
in traktor) Hope they also get those in and maybe make it poss to see the wave form on the app (as it is pretty undewhelming display as you mentioned too) - but yep, still everything else is perfect for me so hoping they do get included in an update soon. |
Lauretta Ehrhorn 17.09.2012 | Was gonna shell out on this but lack of hotcues has cooled my enthusiasm. Will be watching firmware updates with interest. The display screens are underwhelming too. |
Cira Ditz 29.08.2012 | With regards to the cue points - I downloaded the iphone app last evening
to try out and it's pretty good, and there's the ABC three cuepoints on there. Tbh I don't do much cuepoint juggling, more to have various points I prefer to load in a track depending on how I'm mixing things. So if the ABCs are usable with the AERO on the fly then I'm pretty much sold on one. And if there is a firmware update for the sample buttons (tbh am more likely to use my RMX1000 for sample hits) then even better. |

Daaaang! anyway there are 1/2/3/4 buttons underneath the fx buttons, i read somewhere that hotcues would be available after a firmware upgrade, i forgot where i read it tho |

What i haven't seen yet on the vids are the waveforms shown on the phones when the track is loaded. Surely when a track is being played you can view the waveform? |

The unit only communicates HID/midi over usb, wifi is reserved for record box from what I have read from poineers press releases. Hopefully they make wireless HID/midi with a future update as that is where the real benefit would for professionals wanting to have the power of a laptop to run their show. |

Alfredo Tooher 27.08.2012 | for me, not being able to use my saved hot starts or cue points from RB on the Aero is a big fail, I will not be purchasing, oh well, will wait till they incorporate the wireless control into a CDJ2000 type unit |

Mimi Mahaffee 26.08.2012 | I believe some people will appreciate to have the xdj aero as a backup, for bar/friends/small gigs. It's nice to have something small and portable which you can play from just using your rekordbox USB. When you play at the clubs you use their gear with rekordbox USBs. I believe this will appeal to alot of people that doesnt have similar gear at home or place for cdjs and 4 channel mixer. Also I believe the focus on the WiFi feature is too big, it's just a "bonus" but for sure with great potential. The real big news is that its standalone, play direct from usb stick and with a nice record feature which will appeal to people who want to get in to the club scene. For those who already are there and perhaps have 4 channel mixer with tt's this might be what they are looking for when they don't want to lug their gear to gigs where there is no gear installed. |
Freida Leash 26.08.2012 | I really don't believe except for mobile djs this has much appeal. I would love to play a wedding or sweet 16 on this gear, there is less to drag around, stream from my tablet with the phone acting as a router. I would rather have solid DJ software and more buttons to DJ a set of dance music. I haven't seen an all in one unit yet that really truly fits the bill of computer, controller and software, although this probably comes closest. |
Mimi Mahaffee 25.08.2012 | i have not experienced the problems you have zilch, my only problem with rekordbox is that its operating time is slow. |
Kandra Fagler 25.08.2012 | the more i look at this the more i want it, the whole concept of "no laptop" djing again seems really fun again the only thing that bothers me is rekordbox itself, its so unstable! first, after updating to 1.6.2 it shifted ALL my beatgrids slightly to the left (why? anyone else experience this too?) and on OSX Lion 10.7.4 sometimes when i try to open rekordbox it would crash |
Alfredo Tooher 25.08.2012 | awesome! thank you!! |
Mimi Mahaffee 25.08.2012 | yeah, just did with my ipad. will make a video and upload on youtube tomorrow |

I was impressed by the jogs, they really feel solid, although not as nice to grab as the cdjs rubberlike material on the side. will be back with more info later, now om off to work! |
