Recommend me some Dubstep.
Posted on: 11.11.2008 by kieran frearson
I have been asked to make a mix for a friend with dubstep, and frankly, I do not know where to begin, since its not really my style of music. I LIKE it, and I have some stuff, but not that much.

Its not my world so to say. I would like to get some more though, and I would like to make this mix for my dear friend (Its for his housewarming party in 2 months). I told him he can download some of the internet (there are plenty of mixes available online) but he just wants ME to make a mix haha Stubborn fuck! (Well, I do feel flattered!)

So, could you people that are into the Dubstep recommend me some Dubstep? I dont mind if its dark or light, as long as it grooves!

Thank you very much in advance!

(In return, I will post the mix here, if its worth anything lol)

Kind regards,

Nemo

You know, I heard this at a show I went to the other evening , and had a lot of fun with this song. It took me awhile to find it, and this is a proper remix that really isn't the most amazing thing musically... but man, such a fun thing to drop in the middle of a dubstep set.

This is the tune that has me most enthused at the moment. A departure from the all out filth I usually listen to, and I really am digging it:

Just came across this one, and I'm diggin' it already. Love the Grandma's Boy refs... Everything I've heard by this guy is gold

These are both goofy-ass tracks but I heard Bassnectar drop this on a couple of occasions and it just gets stuck in your head. Also because I love popsicles

I don't usually post mixes in this thread, but this one is FANTASTIC in my opinion. Showcases some tunes that haven't hit big yet, and some other stuff. Download still available as well. It's really rocking my world right now.

But in all seriousness, I don't know if Yoseph has been mentioned in this thread, but his tracks are killer, and not your father's dubstep!
