DJ bl3nd has 3 million FaceBook likes with the most popular location being Mexico City. Why they even bothered to defend that they are legitimate is beyond me. Pretty clear he has been buying social media followers.

No dancehall has its roots in reggae and originated in the 70s in Jamaica. Most of the dancehall influence in his work can be seen in Major Lazer.

Never heard of that association before. My link on the previous page is one example of dancehall.

It's kind of funny watching a lot of these DJs call out each other. I mean pretty much all Diplo does is jump from one up and coming hot genre of the minute to the next- (electro house, brostep, moombahton, trap, etc.) then goes on to call out other people for various nonsense.

People make fun of Bl3nd but c'mon he really didn't plan to become a superstar overevening from that goofy video. Millions of views just to act like a clown. He knows damn well that he's just a show and not a DJ, it's akin to going to watch a clown show at the circus. I mean sure it's insane that people pay to go seem him but can you blame him for squeezing every penny out of that video he can?

Good for you man but he's one of the best producers in the game and has worked with some of the biggest names in the music industry, let alone EDM. No need to be a silly sausage

Ahaha. I'm really tempted to create a new, sarcastic genre called Dubwank. Or Wankstep. Something like that. See if I can get it listed on Beatport's "up and coming" section.

It's a shame really cause this just gives this hack more attention. If anyone wants to look into it themselves there is a site that allows you to plug in a Facebook page/twitter account and verify it can tell you how many of the followers are legit.
