~KNTRL~ Design and build your own controllers

Heya!

I just wanted to share my thesis project with all you awesome controller enthusiasts. Some of you have already discovered the project and reached out. For those who haven't, here it is!

So the fundamental concept is that you can design your custom controller from the web app, then receive a DIY kit.

I have put a great deal of effort into making this project accessible - even those little technical experience can easily build their own controller. You surely don't have to be an electronics/coding expert.

This is the style/design I am currently working with. Of course, you will be able to select from various sizes of enclosures. This is just one basic example of what you could build. This design has about 15 potentiometers, 18 pushbuttons, 2 toggles, 1 shift button, 6 LEDs, and 6 rotary encoders with switches.

I am also working on some (not so) top secret plug-and-play modules. The only ones I can share right now are the capacitive touch slider and the 4x4.

More info on the project here: http://fuzzywobble.com/thesis/

I am totally open to collaboration! This project has been a lot of work for one person. I would be keen to hear what the rest of you believe, especially those from DJTT. I am based in Brooklyn, NY.

Kickstarter coming VERY soon!

Please don't ask me the price, 'cause I have no idea yet!

Reach me at " [email protected] "
or go here, http://fuzzywobble.com/

All the best!

Kickstarter is the best way to spend your money. No middle-man -- your money goes straight to the creator/engineer/artist. That said, sometimes people are unhappy with the results of the kickstarter products. I hope I can deliver a product that is top quality, and satisfy all my supporters.

When it comes to contest, it is both the language and Loto-Quebec. Loto-Quebec forces contest hosts to give them part of the value of the prize.

Here is an early prototype of the web design app. Yeah it's ugly, I know. :]

Funds from the Kickstarter will likely go towards making this web app amazing.

@Stewe

4x4 is based off of the open-source button pad created by Sparkfun electronics.

I improved the original PCB so that it is now plug and play.

Nice! Are those 4x4 pad matrix used just as example or you use other components from Livid for this project?

This is a phenomenal project. It could overshadow everything in the exotic-controller scene, the midifighter/monome/cntrl:r projects for example..

Good luck and i'll definitely donate when the kickstarter's up
