~KNTRL~ Design and build your own controllers
~KNTRL~ Design and build your own controllers Posted on: 04.05.2013 by Flavia Flennoy Heya!I just wanted to share my thesis project with all you awesome controller enthusiasts. Some of you have already discovered the project and reached out. For those who haven't, here it is! gif by sylvia So the fundamental concept is that you can design your custom controller from the web app, then receive a DIY kit. I have put a great deal of effort into making this project accessible - even those little technical experience can easily build their own controller. You surely don't have to be an electronics/coding expert. This is the style/design I am currently working with. Of course, you will be able to select from various sizes of enclosures. This is just one basic example of what you could build. This design has about 15 potentiometers, 18 pushbuttons, 2 toggles, 1 shift button, 6 LEDs, and 6 rotary encoders with switches. I am also working on some (not so) top secret plug-and-play modules. The only ones I can share right now are the capacitive touch slider and the 4x4. More info on the project here: http://fuzzywobble.com/thesis/ I am totally open to collaboration! This project has been a lot of work for one person. I would be keen to hear what the rest of you believe, especially those from DJTT. I am based in Brooklyn, NY. Kickstarter coming VERY soon! Please don't ask me the price, 'cause I have no idea yet! Reach me at " [email protected] " or go here, http://fuzzywobble.com/ All the best! | |

Flavia Flennoy 16.05.2013 | Oh yes, and you can now also subscribe to be notified of the kickstarter. http://fuzzywobble.com/thesis/ (top left corner) |
Flavia Flennoy 16.05.2013 | Here is an early prototype of the web design app. Yeah it's ugly, I know. :] Funds from the Kickstarter will likely go towards making this web app amazing. |

Johnsie Kingrea 05.05.2013 | Hey Alex I just sent you an email, just wanted to let you know in case it goes to your junk mail. |
Flavia Flennoy 05.05.2013 | @Stewe 4x4 is based off of the open-source button pad created by Sparkfun electronics. I improved the original PCB so that it is now plug and play. |
Era Roka 05.05.2013 | keep us posted about the kickstarter |
Kellie Myrum 05.05.2013 | Nice! Are those 4x4 pad matrix used just as example or you use other components from Livid for this project? |

Nedra Fresneda 04.05.2013 | Awesome initiative but i would rebelieve the name, reminds me of livid's cntrl:r. If you had no issues with the patenting then go for it. |

Toya Spor 04.05.2013 | Really nice, the prototypes are impressive, but they look expensive |
Marshall Aby 04.05.2013 | That's amazing |
Shery Bergson 04.05.2013 | Very interested in this, I'll be on the look out for the kickstarter. |

Joette Mccarthur 04.05.2013 | That is super impressive and your finished product is SOOO nice! I am going to reach out to you directly and we can talk! |
Jorge Furber 05.05.2013 | I need updates on your project! This is great! I will definitely help when the kickstarter is up, and I could probably help with some web stuff (like translation, if you plan in selling in Quebec - stupid language laws lol -) |
