The DJ Marketing Bible
The DJ Marketing Bible Hey guys, in the last few months I have been writing a brand new eBook about DJ Marketing. For those who needs some little help with promoting themselves, this Bible would really help! You will learn how to use social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, how to deal with hate, how to sign your own records on labels and many more. This Bible is free to download! DOWNLOAD LINK Sidenote: the eBook is free to download for everyone and forever. My English is not my mother language, so there may be a few typos in the Bible. If you find one, feel free to mention them in this thread! Also, feel free to comment This thread has been approved by the management of DJTT. *Zach Dero* Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/DJLoungeNL Twitter: https://twitter.com/DJLoungeNL | |

Libbie Orion 08.04.2013 | its a funny thing. I have been torting to djs for the past few years that approach me about getting onto the radio station or to get gigs, and the one thing that always come up eventually is "how are you marketing yourself..." i ask them. Someone here on DJTT community s said the same thing a number of these djs said. djs shouldnt have to market themselves beyond what people hear in their mixes. And here it is. A bible that basically lets those djs know..... they were wrong. Djs get into this passion because they love music first. then they stay in it because they love the atmosphere and the people they meet. later its usually that feeling of realization "they are in the public eye" and making new friends. All the while, never forgetting they are still doing something they love. But.... you will always end up getting to a point where you HAVE TO KNOW how to market yourself as a dj. get all the bookings and gigs you want but if you are going to keep playing to an empty room and not making ANY money for your time and hard practiced craft for say, 8 years (as the most recent conversation led me to understand) Then you have to take a step back and listen to the person who said "Yes i see you have been doing this for 8 years, but no one knows you, your making no money at it, its hard as heck for you to get a gig, theres nothing specifically noticable about your performance, so have you been doing it CORRECTLY for 8 years or just, doing it?" There is a difference between a dj that can fill a dj booth and a dj that can make a presence. Thanks for the book but you didnt have to PM about it. I almost marked it at spam lol |

Maxwell Zubke 27.10.2012 | One of my favorite things about the DJ community is the dedication towards education and sharing knowledge. Thanks so much for your book. I'm looking forward to reading it when I get some time. |
Nena Leos 26.10.2012 | I've read a few chapters and I have to say most of the advice is very spot on especailly on makign a mix cd. I do agree with a lot of the points: having themes, track names, sharing, etc The part I believe that is maybe questionable is the section "focuing on your site instead of facebook" I believe I can dj can you use both a website and facebook fan page to there advantage. For example on fan page, connect your instagram to it and show off you where your spinning at or with who and ppl can comment; you can post questions on you fan page and get a response instantly, promote your next event, etc.. Facebook just gives easy acess to you as an individual instaly without leaving fb and seriously, FB is huge right now and theres no signs of it slowing down in the next 4 years I say... Facebook is a good place to have artist to fan communication. Besides that, the book is spot on from what i read, |
