Master of the Mix season 3
Master of the Mix season 3 Posted on: 01.04.2013 by Nevada Edgette First two seasons were on BET, now VH1 has picked it up for the third season. Anyone else besides me looking forward to watching this tomorrow?http://www.vh1.com/video/misc/887632...xrs=share_copy | |
Arnulfo Morten 15.05.2013 | ^^ good answer |
Addie Engbrecht 15.05.2013 | He certainly is the most experienced, and the best w/ the tables and mixer .........but depends on what the producers want. Jayceeoh is the best club DJ in the competition imo. |

Normand Kaminsky 01.05.2013 | The sets are 3-4 mins long.. not 5-10. You can find the full sets in audio the day after the show airs. |
Arnulfo Morten 01.05.2013 | Sorry to be the barer of bad news.... while this is entertaining to watch keep in mind those are 5-10 min routines horribly edited into 20 seconds... plus because of copyright laws they can't show a lot of the sets. they don't want to pay royalties. A lot of Dj's got invited to try out for the show and the email/flyer said CASTING... Trust reality TV is scripted and they finished filming this back in February so the winner is determined. Vh1 and Smirnoff are targeting drinking 21-35 year olds not DJ's. Thats why the show is aired so late the Dj's are not allowed to talk about getting drunk or abusing alcohol... Once you accept that this show is the only DJ show on TV and Exposes common people to a little of what Dj's do which is neat. |
Rena Estabrook 01.05.2013 | Finally.. |
Rochel Papillion 01.05.2013 | Kris Karns just keep killin it incredoboi was cool too but seriously jayceehoh is doin the opposite http://www.vh1.com/video/master-of-t...playlist.jhtml |

Rena Estabrook 25.04.2013 | I'm glad some of us are enjoying this show. Sure beats the celebrity diving show. |

Most of these guys are incredibly skilled....meaning they have physical skills that 95% of the people on this community could not perform. The first two series had alot of dj's that were a joke...but now they caught the attention of big names in the hip-hop scene and the judges aren't qualified to judge them. Vajra is Yelawolf's touring dj, and Jayceeoh is Sammy Adam's touring dj. They have routines at each show that are very skilled. And if you believe these guys only play mainstream hip hop then you should do some research.... |

Rochel Papillion 25.04.2013 | that was a hard challenge, n I thought they really were gonna send both home http://www.vh1.com/video/master-of-t...playlist.jhtml |
Addie Engbrecht 24.04.2013 | The show is fun to watch. Obviously the producers have a major influence on everything....which isn't anything new or surprising. They care about entertainment/ratings, not about a legit competition. It's working cause I still watch, but I don't take the competition, or what the judges say seriously. I do know that they edit the performances, sometimes with different songs they didnt even play, and their performances is really the reason why I watch, so that kinda sucks |
Rena Estabrook 24.04.2013 | Just watched the 4th episode. Didn't expect that ending. |
Rochel Papillion 19.04.2013 | 3rd episode up online not as much drama this time around http://www.vh1.com/video/master-of-t...playlist.jhtml |
Rena Estabrook 12.04.2013 | Just watched the 2nd episode. Pretty entertaining show to me. |
Nelida Ghouse 11.04.2013 | In a perfect world something like 30-45 minute sets would start to become fair, but I don't see how you could possibly translate 30-45 minute sets to TV. 3 minute sets are already pretty much edited beyond recognition. |

Do I believe the format is fair for all types of DJs? No, it's extremely favourable for scratching, trick mixing, and hip-hop style DJing. But you complaining about someone not just mixing for a 3 minute set is like a someone complaining about a DJ not just scratching for an hour long set and being like "IT'S NOT A FREAKING BLEND OFF, HOW COME PEOPLE AREN'T SCRATCHING FOR THE WHOLE SET?". Even though I love scratching, I'm not an idiot and can see why that's not gonna cut it. |
Shawn Vanhaitsma 11.04.2013 | Good.. so they can enjoy away. But because I dont like it... and its useless TO ME.. and MY STYLE.. and I DONT ENJOY it.. in no way makes me ignorant. So in a COMPETITION.. named... MASTER OF THE MIX.... its a skill that can be used tastefully.. but not every damn transition... Again, im not sure where you gather because I dont like it, that the rest of the people who like it can't. But Im sorry, I must have missed the promo where this was a Hip Hop DJ competition. You seem to have a very hard F'ing time reading. |

Or just on the DJTT community s. seems like every community you post it, you bring this huge negative vibe. sour grapes indeed. someone must be mad at the world. Reminds me of when I was 13 |

Hardly any of those sets played by any of those DJs was enjoyable.. There were a few that werent to bad.. I cant remember his name, but how the man did some vinyl work on the Popcorn song was tasteful... and then he went to overboard with the scratching for my tastes. Im sorry for being ignorant because I dont like something. What don't you like, so I can call you ignorant for not enjoying that particular thing. |
