I can't get over the vinyl
I can't get over the vinyl Posted on: 24.05.2011 by Danyel Murante I can't get over the vinyl! I am dj since 98-99, I grew up with vinyl, I went to record stores... I played 30 records in one hour. I loved to browse my vinyl case. I have two releases on vinyl. Tese days, record stores are closed, music is changed, no more vinyl releases... Now I am a digital dj, I keep pushing buttons, I am good in that too, but i cant get used to digital stuff. Its like, soulless, plastic, unnatural for me. I can't get over the vinyl! Heeelp | |

Emely Metz 31.07.2012 | ^ LOL animal kingdom...well it's all about business nowadays :P I'm enjoying my 'rare species' category though, since i dont actually play for a crowd but myself in the bedroom (and my music choices is outdated at best, people wouldn't know it & probably hated it)...being old-fashioned, i dont believe i'll have the need to outdo anyone...of course some odd parties are welcomed (even though tracklist is another problem when normal people refuses to listen to anything but pop music)...oh well |

dan samo 26.12.2011 | i'm in the process of getting 2x 1210m3d's set-up with my kontrol s4. best of both worlds, imo: the best controller/midi with 2 of the nicest turntables if anything and i was to ever change this set-up... i'd drop the s4 for an analogue mixer w/ audio 6 sound-card. i started on digital but share your feeling that clicking mp3 tracks from a library all day really loses the 'feeling' of mixing in a new track! plus i'm a total fetishist for the records themselves... can't beat a nicely designed sleeve and a wellcut record |
Yong Aptekar 27.12.2011 | those orange records look fly! oh and that "s" you guys are talkin about is sink yeah? hahha i like buying vinyl over mp3s, but i love spinning timecode. im on the proverbial fence i guess. |

Thi Akehurst 25.05.2011 | S arm with the 23 angle would be considered straight arm, right? I do tons of scratchin, i just got and S arm so I can kinda mimic the feel of some 1200s |
Dorcas Bassignani 25.05.2011 | real djs use; dvs no midi 1 cdj 1 s tone arm carry 2 record bags with shoulder straps, no wheels one mp3 cd of tunes ipod and have pineapple on their pizza |

Since I'm spending 10-15 dollars for a record, it's definatly going to be good
|
Kiyoko Wellisch 25.05.2011 | Real DJs use CDJs because all this new technology is cheating. Original style. |
Leeanna Ayla 25.05.2011 | Real DJ's only use S and midi, or was that straight and no midi. I'm so confused. I believe we should start a rule that says real DJ's only eat sandwiches with mustard, makes about as much sense. |
Kiyoko Wellisch 25.05.2011 | Sigh. I don't understand people on the interbutts. |
Dorcas Bassignani 25.05.2011 | talk to frank... i believe once again you failed to see i was winding you up, and kept on biting... |
Kiyoko Wellisch 25.05.2011 | I've stopped understanding what we are talking about. |
Dorcas Bassignani 25.05.2011 | i know... ffs |
Kiyoko Wellisch 25.05.2011 | Because the S reduces record wear and the straight improves tracking so they are suited to different things and most people don't scratch? |

Dorcas Bassignani 25.05.2011 | fuck the S, embrace new technology... |
Kiyoko Wellisch 25.05.2011 | Keep the S! And no one has ever had that much of an issue reaching over and hitting the button :P |
