Man Meador 24.12.2008 | Hi all, season's greetings. I've just registered, though have been a lurker for a while. Absolutely love the website and the community
-- much respect to Ean and all the members that make it so special. I am of two extremes -- high end audiophile sound but also digital too, as it offers so much flexibility. Don't really have a DJ name, I suppose Tan is what I use (though have the odd moniker). Play a lot of Disco, more than anything else but anything you can dance to really! And I'm from the UK. |

Where you are from (City/Country) I'm from a mid-sized city in Austria, called Gmunden. 3. Stlye of music you enjoy playing. Everybody knows, that it's hard nowadays, to exactly define the style of a song. So in my Library, I created some style-specifications which helps me to distinguish Electro - Dark Electro (Olivier Giacomotto, Damon Jee) - Minimal Electro (Mr. Oizo, Format:B) Electrotrash - Electroclash (Don Rimini, Crookers) - Electrofunk (Malente, Lars Moston, Herv |

Marcel Ei Gio 08.12.2008 | Name is Alex Laine. I have been DJing for about 5 years off and on. Started seriously DJing in middle of 2007 and moved from trance and vinyl to house/techno and traktor in January of 2008. (I have traveled internationally with vinyl, it was one of the worst experiences of my life...) I currently reside outside Richmond VA, but I have lived in Brighton UK (you Brits know that town I'm sure) and I am working on moving back there to pursue DJing. Should prove to be a good time. Again, I spin club house, electro, progressive house, tech house, and techno. I work as the editor in chief of the online magazine over at Tastyfresh.com. I also work with Giantslayers records, which is a techno/tech house label. |
Ryan Deegan 02.12.2008 | 1.Well my real name's David. I've got a DJ name in mind as well, but I believe I'll wait until I some skills to back it up before I throw it out to the world. At the moment I'm about as beginner as it gets, but I'm hoping to change that with enough effort and practice. 2. I currently live in Nelson, BC, but in January I'll be heading down to Prescott, AZ to go to school for about 5 months. 3. As for music, my tastes seem to be getting broader as I get older, so there's a lot of stuff that I find pretty intriguing, but as far as dancing goes breaks are probably my true love. To be more specific I'd say slamming, techy breaks that are still funky and have some melody and progression. Throw in some hip-hop influences and a little bit of glitchiness and I'm really in heaven. I'm not sure what genre I'd call that though I also wanted to say that I've been reading this site for about a month or so and I've been super impressed by the level of helpfulness and general civility of the community. Really, it was probably one of the big things that encouraged me to buy a VCI-100 and jump in and give this a try. |
